Materials and Tools

Students Bring:

Links are provided but feel free to source from anywhere

  • Scissors, pencil, ruler, notebook

  • X-acto Knife (or your favorite fine line making/cutting tool). Andrea likes the Slice Craft Knife for her own work.

  • Favorite sponge (mudtools, round yellow, etc.)

  • Rolling pin

  • Wire looping pliers 2-9mm

  • Round and/or needle nose pliers

  • Wire cutters

  • 2-5 lbs of your preferred moist clay

  • Preferred underglaze colors

  • Thin plastic to cover work

  • Box and bubble wrap to transport finished work

  • Bagged lunch & water (coffee and lite snacks provided)

Andrea Will Provide:

  • Cone 6 Grolleg Porcelain 

  • Underglazes

  • Kanthal wire

  • 3-D printer and filament for group use

  • Stretch plastic wrap

  • Dowels

  • Mason Stains

  • Amaco Velvet Underglaze (red, black, blue)

  • Spray bottle

  • .7mil plastic sheets
